Greetings to each of you.聽 I hope you were able to celebrate Independence Day earlier this month with your friends and family and had a wonderful time doing so.
Licensing Database聽Replacement
I mentioned in May that the Commission had聽begun the process of replacing our聽licensing聽database system.聽We聽are聽working聽with our聽vendor聽to聽complete聽requirements gathering which will聽inform聽the聽scope of work for the new system.鈥疻e continue to work towards the implementation of this new system in 2023.聽聽
Business License Inactivation聽
Some of you may be aware that in June,聽business entity brokers were聽inadvertently expired.聽This聽was聽directly related to the aging system we are managing.聽We published an update聽to be聽transparent聽regarding our error.聽I again apologize to those who聽were affected by this. Our intention is always to provide an excellent experience while conducting business with the agency.聽聽
I hope聽each of you聽is聽enjoying your summer.聽It聽is good for the soul to聽get out and enjoy the celebrations we all missed last year.聽I am forever grateful after the聽previous聽year we have had to celebrate with friends and family.聽As we move into the hottest part of the year,聽I am especially聽appreciative聽for the pools and parks to be open again, so we can cool off and continue to enjoy our great state of Texas!聽聽
