
The Education Standards Advisory Committee (ESAC) met on October 5, 2020, to continue to diligent聽work聽of the聽committee.聽聽
The committee聽previously聽assigned a working group to聽consider聽elective continuing education (CE) course topics聽that may be of particular聽benefit to real estate license holders in an effort to assist education providers as they develop new courses. Based on the efforts of聽the working group,聽updates will be made to the website to help guide聽education providers聽when preparing elective CE course applications.听听听
ESAC also discussed the聽important and timely聽topics of聽racism, discrimination, and implicit bias聽as they relate to the聽practice of real estate.聽聽While聽fair housing is addressed聽in聽several pre-licensing courses,聽committee聽members聽and staff agreed聽there are opportunities聽to further address聽these issues in non-elective CE courses.聽In addition to聽elective聽CE,聽future聽versions of the聽mandatory聽courses聽will incorporate these topics聽as appropriate.听听听
The next ESAC meeting聽is scheduled for聽January 11, 2021, at 10:00 am.聽聽This meeting will take place virtually and members of the public are聽encouraged聽to attend.聽聽The agenda will include the election of officers聽and discussion and possible action聽regarding聽professional designations.聽聽If you would like to submit a public comment聽on these or any other topics, you may send聽those聽to聽[email protected].聽聽A recording of the October 5, 2020, ESAC meeting is available on the聽星空体育app下载 website.听听听
